Data Science Club

Data Science Club

The Darden Data Science Club aims to educate MBA students on the importance of quantitative analytics and identify opportunities for members to pursue careers in or closely related to the field of data science across many industries. We see data science as the intersection of business acumen, statistical fluency and technical expertise — a field increasingly in demand as business store information on customers, transactions, employees and competitors.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.

    • Events

The club hosts guest speakers, conducts workshops, provides recruiting materials, collaborates with UVA’s Data Science Institute and runs forecasting competitions. The club distributes materials related to the field of data science and promotes quantitative fluency throughout the Darden community by providing a platform for sharing the substantive knowledge and experience of members.
