MBA Recruiting at Darden
Every year, Darden students make connections with hundreds of companies, recruiters, and Darden alumni and friends. Darden’s The Career Center works to identify, cultivate and strengthen engagement with top companies from around the world. Through a variety of on-Grounds events, global career conferences and job treks, and a dedicated network of alumni located in a variety of industries and locations, Darden students enter highly sought-after internships and full-time roles.

Company Information Sessions (Briefings)
Briefings are formal, 45-minute presentations and Q&As at Darden, giving students the opportunities to network with companies, discuss corporate culture and explore opportunities.

Office Hours or Coffee Chats
These events are less formal opportunities for a handful of students to connect with company representatives at Darden.

Networking Receptions
Students and companies network in a casual setting during networking receptions. These events take place in Darden’s PepsiCo Forum.

Darden Career Fairs
These Charlottesville-based recruiting events allow students to get to know organizations before diving-deep over the course of the fall.

Job Treks
During job treks, students visit corporate headquarters, experience company culture first-hand and meet with colleagues. Popular job treks include Week on Wall Street and the Bay Area Tech Trek. Job trek visits typically occur during Darden School breaks (i.e., Dedicated Recruiting Days, mid-December, early January), the exceptions being locations close to Charlottesville (DC-metro, Richmond, Charlotte) where day-long trips are feasible.

Virtual Recruiting Events
Virtual information sessions, coffee chats and interviews can be coordinated using our state of the art media-enabled interview rooms or classrooms. Scheduled based on request.

Student Club Events
Darden’s student clubs often hold recruiting events such as networking receptions, dinners, lunch and learns, case competitions and more.

Workshops and Case Competitions
Workshops at Darden provide companies an educational opportunity to deliver specific content to students about their business. During case competitions, student participants strive to develop the best solution to a business- or education-related case study within an allocated time frame. Results in the awarding of scholarships, internship and/or interview prizes, etc.

MBA Interview Forums
During interview forums, Darden partners with other top MBA schools to provide companies with a convenient way to interview MBA candidates from multiple schools at one event for just-in-time hiring needs.
