AI is driving a new industrial revolution. It is expected to disrupt existing industries and create new ones. While the long-term potential of AI is real, leaders are investing in AI now and are challenged with developing an effective AI strategy that will give them an edge over the competition. They are tasked with developing a unified strategy for directing AI activities and addressing the talent gap in their organizations related to AI. This presentation will present the AI Marketing Canvas, that can provide leaders with a goal for their AI investments and also a process map for developing the firm's AI marketing capabilities. Case studies across several industries will highlight each step of the AI Marketing Canvas. The presentation will also identify the key strategic advantages relevant in an AI driven economy and propose processes necessary to ensure the ethical use of AI. |

CLOSING KEYNOTE, "Industry Research in AI Ethics," by Kirsten Martin, Professor of Technology Ethics and Professor of IT, Analytics, and Operations, Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame In this talk, Kirsten Martin will explore how and why firms are accountable for the AI they develop and adopt. In doing so, she will (1) explain the value-laden-ness of AI as a counter to (frequent) claims of AI as efficient and objective, (2) introduce what firms are accountable for in regards to AI, and (3) identify how firms (and those that study them) fall into accountability dissonance in taking credit for the positive implications of AI yet disavowing the negative implications of AI. Finally, she will identify two recent trends for future research in AI ethics. |
