Robert Carraway teaches Quantitative Analysis courses in Darden's MBA program. He has published in top academic journals, such as Management Science and Operations Research, and written numerous cases and practitioner-oriented pieces. His original work was in the field of Optimization, but more recently he has focused more broadly on the role of analytics in decision making. In addition to his MBA teaching (where he has won several teaching honors), Carraway has taught Executive Education classes to practicing managers and executives, not just in the US, but around the world (Europe, Asia, Latin America). Early in his career, he co-wrote a successful case and text book, Quantitative Analysis for Business. Carraway served as Darden's Senior Associate Dean for MBA Programs from 2006-2011, and is currently the QA area head. He joined the Darden faculty in 1984. He received his B.S. and M.B.A. from East Carolina University and his Ph.D. from Purdue University.
