Jack Becker - Meet the Students - Ph.D.

Jack Becker

 

Jack is a second-year Ph.D. student at Darden focused on the intersection of business ethics and public health. His research interests include advertising ethics, corporate governance, nonmarket strategy, and the wellness industry. He is currently a student fellow at the LaCross Institute for Ethical Artificial Intelligence in Business, where he works on a team studying AI and managerial moral responsibility.

Before joining Darden, Jack served as an Assistant Chief Counsel for Drugs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was a submissions manager for the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology and a student fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics. He also received a B.A. in Science, Technology, and Society from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. While at Penn, Jack was a manager for the men’s lacrosse team.
